PPP: Obama up by 2 in Pennsylvania

This is probably an outlier, but it shows pretty significant movement since the last PP poll:

Obama takes the lead in Pennsylvania

Barack Obama 45
Hillary Clinton 43

Barack Obama has taken the lead in Pennsylvania, a remarkable turnaround after trailing Hillary Clinton by 26 points in a PPP poll in the state just two and a half weeks ago.

Obama's steep rise could be a reflection of a growing sense among Democratic voters that a continued divisive nomination process will hurt the party's chances of defeating John McCain this fall. An Obama upset in Pennsylvania would be virtually certain to force Clinton out of the race.

Obama has his customary large advantage with black voters (75-17) and is keeping it relatively competitive with white voters (49-38)

He leads across all age groups except senior citizens and balances Clinton's 10 point lead with women with his own 15 point lead with men.

Re: PPP: Obama up by 2 in Pennsylvania (none / 0)

yes, it is an outlier, but that's important too, because it invalidates the previous 26 point clinton lead they showed.
like kos said, she'd probably win by 15 points if the election were this week, but that's likely down from maybe 20 last week.

I'd spot clinton about 5 points in every PA poll, so Obama actually has to be leading by 10 to have a shot at winning there.  But if he's tied in polls, then he's in really good shape.

45%-43%? (none / 0)

The huge undecided of 12% plus the 2.5% MOE give this poll little significants.
Still it is following other polls that also show Pennsylvania trending towards Obama.
In any case Hillary would need to obtain more than 65% of the total vote in Pennsylvania in order to make a dent in her Delegate deficit, and that is increasing looking less and less likely.
My thoughts on McCain: I have no desire to let that idiot fulfill his desire to "Bomb Iran"

McCain's occupation plan will achieve victory when it bestows liberty to the freedom loving people of Iraq and their freedom loving oil.

Re: PPP: Obama up by 2 in Pennsylvania (none / 0)

I think this poll is bogus... Every other polling outfit has Clinton up by 5% - 12%. If Obama can pull up to 5%, I'll be happy.

This polling company has done really well in these primaries. I bet their last polls was bogus, but this one may be close.

It shows a lot of undecided. Their prediction currently show Obama at 45 and Clinton at 43.

That could end up at 50 for HC and 45 for Obama.
